Bathroom Vanities Sometimes Hold Great Surprises

Author: Terry Price

When it comes time, spring-cleaning your bathroom is undoubtedly on the to- do list. It seems like there's always something to do and a good cleaning of your medicine cabinet is no exception. Bathroom vanities usually have the medicine cabinets installed either below or above. When spring comes, there is always the need for insect repellents, suntan lotion, and various other necessary items to ensure the right supply for spring's medicinal needs. When going through your medicine cabinet or bathroom vanity cupboards, you will find some things to throw away. Throw away all expired medicines, even those nearly empty bottles and haven't been used in a while.

Check for a good seal on all bottles and containers and throw away any that are not sealed or stored properly. Throw away or pour together duplicate items as they often create clutter. You may also want to consider moving any duplicate items to larger areas such as your bathroom sink vanity or pantry. Remember to throw away any unused or partially-used old prescriptions, and consult with your pharmacist if you have any questions, or are doubtful about any type of medicine.

Now that you have thrown out the old stuff, you have room to bring in new supplies such as sunscreen with the right amount of SPF protection, insect repellent, burn treatment cream, such as aloe vera, and something for insect bite relief. Stock your bathroom vanity with allergy medications, healing and cooling packs for sprains in case of mishaps during outdoor fun. Remember as well to update your first aid packet with antiseptic wash, Band-Aids, and ointment for spring scrapes. That's it, there you have it in a nutshell. Using a little common sense goes a long way when it comes to cleaning out your medicine cabinet.
